Winning Return for Reldas

Moonee Valley, October 5 – Slick sprinter Reldas again showed his liking for the Moonee Valley track when resuming from a spell to win last Friday night.

Prepared by Robert Smerdon, he swooped late to win a heat of the Jeep 55Challenge over 955 metres and has now won five of 15 starts earning close to $150,000 in prizemoney.

A five year-old Testa Rossa gelding, Reldas, was an $82,000 Inglis Premier purchase for Cameron Cooke Bloodstock from the draft of Mill Park.

Bred by Mill Park in partnership, Reldas is a half-brother to brilliant stakes-winner Victory Chant and is the second winner from Classic Status, a half-sister by Marscay to Group I MRC Thousand Guineas winner Serious Speed and to the dam of Group II winner Majestic Music.

Classic Status has a yearling colt by Helmet.
