There are so many Gr.1 winners produced on the pastures of Mill Park Stud in South Australia that there isn’t room to cover them all. The renowned producer has sold three Caulfield Cup winners in the last decade. More specifically, their Magic Millions Gold Coast drafts have produced Rebel Raider (Reset – Picholine, by Dehere) and bargain buy Epsom winner Captain Sonador (Shamardal – Pushing Daisies, by Kenny’s Best Pal) who sold for just $30,000. Another good racemare, Angel of Mercy (Hussonet - Pieta, by Clay Hero) who was Gr.1 placed in 2014’s Tattersall’s Tiara and is a Gr.3 winner, also came out of this draft.
General Manager Chris Watson talked to Bluebloods about their 2016 draft of seven yearlings, “We have a lot to look forward to in coming years with some lovely horses selling off the farm. Last year we sold a Redoute’s Choice from Dances on Waves for $575,000 at this sale. He is with Gerald Ryan and is going well at this early stage. We hope to continue to produce the same racetrack successes and it has already been an exciting spring with Fawkner picking up another Gr.1. His longevity is great for our industry.”
