February 16 - Three second placings in a row must have been proving frustrating for connections of Snitzel filly Ends in Tears, whose run of minor placings ended with a win at Wyong on Sunday, which was great timing with her full sister headed to the Inglis Premier Yearling Sale next month.
Allowed to settle and find her feet, the Gerald Ryan trained Ends in Tears surged to the line to win the 1100 metre maiden by a long head.
An $80,000 Magic Millions purchase from the Mill Park draft, Ends in Tears is the third winner for Starts With a Kiss, a placed sibling to Group II winner Hadabeclorka and stakes-winner Songs of Vienna, the dam of stakes-winner City of Song.
The current yearling from Starts With a Kiss is another filly by Snitzel that will be offered by Mill Park at Inglis Premier as Lot 539.
