Another Rosehill Win for Spinning Diamond

Sydney, April 1 – Up and coming trainer Sam Kavanagh featured with a smart winner at Rosehill on Wednesday in Spinning Diamond, a $50,000 Inglis Premier purchase from the draft of Mill Park.

A five year-old daughter of Hard Spun (USA), Spinning Diamond was ridden a heady race by Kerrin McEvoy to lead throughout and hung on strongly to win the Benchmark 75 event over 1500 metres by half a length.

With three wins and four placings from 15 starts, Spinning Diamond has won over $113,000 in prizemoney.

Spinning Diamond is the first winner for Group II winning Made of Gold (USA) mare Open Cut, who comes from the family of Group I SAJC Australasian Oaks winner Minegold.
