Morphettville Win for Heart of a Lion

Adelaide, April 26 - – Scoring a tenacious neck win at Morphettville on Saturday was progressive five year-old Heart of a Lion, a $42,000 Magic Millions Adelaide purchase for Kennewell Racing from the draft of Mill Park.

A half-brother by Lion Heart (USA) to triple Group I winner and $3million earner Happy Trails, stakes-placed Heart of a Lion backed up from his last start win at Oakbank to win the 1000 metre sprint in a close finish for the Lloyd Kennewell stable.

With five wins and six placings from 17 starts, Heart of a Lion has won over $130,000 in prizemoney.

Bred by Brenton and Liz Parker, Heart of a Lion is one of five winners from terrific producer Madame Flurry, a half-sister by Perugino (USA) to stakes-winner Lake Villa. 

Madame Flurry has a weanling colt by All Too Hard and is in foal to Sebring.
