Hong Kong, June 18 – Former handy Sydney galloper Relaxed and Happy broke through for his first Hong Kong win at Happy Valley on Wednesday evening running under the name of Caga Force for the Danny Shum stable.
The five year-old Exceed and Excel gelding had been second at his two previous runs, but made no mistakes this time around dashing away to win over 1200 metres by two and a quarter lengths after leading throughout.
Bred by Toorak Park and raised at Mill Park, Caga Force (Relaxed and Happy) was withdrawn from the 2011 Magic Millions Yearling Sale in Adelaide and later offered by Attunga Stud as agent at the Magic Millions Horses in Training Sale where he fetched $62,500 to the bid of Nicholas and James Moore Bloodstock.
A winner of six races and placed seven times from 24 starts, Caga Force is one of three winners from the Group II winning Royal Academy (USA) mare Regal Kiss.
She was on-sold as part of the Toorak Park dispersal in 2010 with Baramul Stud securing her for $75,000 and sending her to New Zealand.
