September 7 - A brilliant winner of the Group I ATC Champagne Stakes at two, former star filly Go Indy Go has been retired to stud by her owner breeder Harry Perks following indifferent form at her first two runs back from a long spell.
Trained by Leon MacDonald and Andrew Gluyas, Go Indy Go failed to win again after that early success and retires with two wins and four placings from 11 starts with earnings topping $420,000.
A filly with a big pedigree, coming from the family of Golden Slipper winner Ha Ha and Caulfield Cup winner Southern Speed, Go Indy Go was raised at Mill Park.
She reportedly has a booking to champion sire Fastnet Rock.
Her mother Elegant Eagle, a daughter of champion sire Zabeel, is due to foal again this spring to Go Indy Go’s sire Bernardini, who is also the sire of her Group III winning full brother Essay Raider.
