Colt by Champion Two-year-old Sire More Than Ready, who covered his final Australian season last season and has an amazing record of 350 global stakes horses, with his Australian-bred Group 1 winners including More Joyous, Sebring, Phelan Ready, Samaready, Eagle Way and Gimmethegreenlight to name a few.
Out of the Group 3-winning, Group 1 placed Danewin mare Dane Belltar, the mare has an outstanding stud record, with seven winners from seven runners highlighted by triple Group 1 winner Fawkner (pictured below), $1.1 million earner and the Group 2-winning, Group 1 placed Tanby, as well as the Group 2 performer Viking Star.
With the third dam of this colt being the Group 1 VRC Oaks winner Taj Eclipse, from the family of South African Group 1 winner Noah From Goa (footage below), this colt not only oozes quality from a pedigree aspect, but just take a look at him!
The current two-year-old from the mare is a Shooting To Win filly named Bianchi Cup who was purchased by Godolphin, while Dane Belltar is set to foal this season to Sebring, with the resultant foal a full sibling to the Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained three-year-old colt Sydney Blue who could be a Brisbane winter carnival contender for his connections.
While surprisingly there hasn’t been any yearlings bred on the same More Than Ready x Danewin pedigree cross, there have been 37 stakes performers led by Group 1 winners Sebring, Enitsaar and Uni bred on the exact same More Than Ready x Danehill cross as this colt.
Outside of Fawkner and Tanby, Danewin as a broodmare sire has provided Group 1 winner Gold Trail, as well as 11 fellow stakes winners including Afleet Esprit, Twilight Savings, Wink And A Nod, Star Fashion and Shazee Lee.
