Impressive colt from the first crop of Darley’s Champion European 2YO Colt and Champion 3YO Miler Dawn Approach, a multiple Group 1-winning son of New Approach.

The bay or brown colt is out of the four time Listed-winning, Group 1 Goodwood Handicap placed Exceed And Excel mare Very Discreet, from the family of Champion 2YO Filly Be Discreet, the Group 1 Schweppes Oaks winner Maybe Discreet as well as the Group 2 winner Serenely Discreet and her Listed-winning dam I’m Discreet. 

Mill Park sold the Lonhro half-brother at the Inglis Easter yearling sale twelve months prior to Angus Gold of Shadwell Australia, with the colt exported to the South African stable of Mike De Kock.

Mares by Exceed And Excel have produced 24 stakes performers led by Group 1 Golden Rose winner Astern, and Lonhro’s talented daughter Bounding, a winner of the Group 1 Railway Stakes. The similar New Approach x Exceed And Excel pedigree cross has produced one winner from one runner.

By Fastnet Rock’s highest rate son Foxwedge, already the sire of stakes winners Foxplay, Volpe Veloce and Kentucky Miss, this filly is the fourth foal of the General Nediym mare Victory Cry.

A half-sister to the Listed Heritage Stakes winner Guard Of Honour, the pedigree oozes class; containing Listed-winning sprinters Reldas and Victory Chant as well as the Group 1 Thousand Guineas winner Serious Speed and the Group 2 Edward Manifold winner Majestic Music, all Mill Park raised graduates.

General Nediym mares are responsible for Group 1 winners Jameka, Sizzling, Lasqueti Spirit and recent Australian Guineas winner Hey Doc.

Bay colt by Arrowfield Stud’s leading sire Snitzel, a stallion who is experiencing an exciting run highlighted by this season’s Group 1-winning Inglis Easter yearling sale graduates Russian Revolution and Summer Passage. 

The fourth foal of the Group 2 winner Dances On Waves, the Snitzel colt is a three-quarter-brother to the promising Pipeline, from the family of Champion Stayer and four-time Group 1 winner Preferment, Group 1 Salinger Stakes winner Ancient Song as well as the Group 3 winner Rezoned.

The Snitzel x Anabaa pedigree cross has had three winners from three runners, while the similar Redoute’s Choice x Anabaa cross has produced seven winners from 12 runners highlighted by Group 2 winner Tango’s Daughter and dual Listed winner Come Hither.

Exciting grey by Widden Stud’s Sebring, a consistent top-ten sire who has already produced a Horse of the Year in Dissident, this colt is out of the Group 3 Auraria Stakes-winning, dual Group 1 placed Dane Belltar.

A half-sister to the triple Group 1 winner Fawkner, the dual Group 2 winner Tanby and the stakes performed Viking Star, all raised and sold by Mill Park, this colt’s Street Cry half-brother was sold to Shadwell Stud at last year’s Inglis Easter yearling sale, and is currently in the South African stable of leading trainer Mike de Kock.

Mares by Danewin have produced 18 stakes performers, of which three are in the pedigree of this colt, with others including Group 1 performers A Gold Trail, Star Fashion and Twilight Savings.

From the extended Eight Carat family of Octagonal, Danewin, Diamond Lover, Commands, Kaapstad, Don Eduardo and many more outstanding Group 1 performers the colt is a half-brother to the promising New Approach filly Gogo Grace.

Monolith mares have recorded 15 winners from a limited number of runners highlighted by the Group 3 performer Mountain Jack and this colt’s half-sister Gogo Grace.
